Job Description

Join Our Friendly Patient Services Team

We are looking for a motivated, professional, and customer-focused individual to join our Patient Services team. This is a patient-facing reception and care navigation role, where you will play a key part in helping patients access the most appropriate healthcare professional or service while delivering outstanding customer care.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, both in person and on the telephone, helping ensure every patient receives a welcoming, efficient, and supportive service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and friendly reception service for patients and visitors
  • Support patients in navigating healthcare services and accessing the appropriate care
  • Book, manage, and cancel appointments using the clinical system
  • Respond to patient enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Maintain accurate patient records while following confidentiality guidelines
  • Work closely with the clinical and administrative team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Working Hours

Monday 14:00 – 18:30

Tuesday 08:00 – 13:00 – 14:00 – 18:30

Wednesday Day Off

Thursday 14:00 – 18:30

Friday 08:00 – 12:30 – 13:30 – 18:30

1 in 6 Saturdays 08:15 - 12:15

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ NHS experience, ideally within a reception or patient services role
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and accurate in a busy environment
  • A strong team player with a positive and supportive attitude
  • Flexible approach to help cover staff absence when required
  • Confident using Microsoft Word and Outlook
