Do you enjoy fixing things?

We’re looking for an electronics technician to join our Technical Engineering Team. The successful candidate will enjoy diagnosing faults, repairing electronic equipment and bringing devices back to life.

About Us

Numed Healthcare is a family run business based in Sheffield. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our customers while creating a supportive and friendly workplace.

Our Workshop is a multifaceted, fast paced environment with a ‘tight knit’ team who care about each other and are passionate about the service they deliver. As an ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified organisation, we are committed to maintaining high standards of quality, continuous improvement, and information security in everything we do.

The Role

As part of our Technical Engineering team, you'll be responsible for servicing, fault finding and repairing a wide range of medical equipment. The role is a mix of mainly board replacements and some component level work where required, so strong practical skills and a methodical approach are essential.

This position suits someone who enjoys hands on work, takes ownership from diagnosis through to final testing, and takes pride in delivering reliable, high quality repairs.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

· Diagnosing and repairing medical devices

· Carrying out preventative maintenance and servicing medical equipment

· Performing electrical safety tests

· Recording repairs and maintaining accurate service documentation

· Working collaboratively to deliver high quality repairs and excellent customer service

Full manufacturer approved training and certification, including IEC 62353 electrical safety testing, will be provided.

About You

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys solving technical problems and takes pride in producing high quality work.

You'll be someone who:

· Has excellent attention to detail

· Takes a logical and methodical approach to problem solving

· Works well both independently and as part of a team

· Is keen to continue learning and developing new technical skills

· Understands the importance of quality, reliability and customer service

· Experience is not essential, as full manufacturer training will be provided. However, you must have a keen interest in repairing electronic devices and learning new technical skills.

· Must be a team player who is passionate about and dedicated to delivering excellent customer service.

Desirables:

· Confident using multimeters

· Strong practical engineering skills

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· An interest in electronics repair, PCB diagnostics and soldering

· Ability to troubleshoot electronic faults using appropriate test equipment

· A willingness to learn component level diagnostics and repair techniques

· Has fault-finding skills and is comfortable diagnosing electronic issues

Career Development

We are committed to developing our people. Several members of our team have progressed their careers through additional training and qualifications. For individuals who demonstrate the right attitude, aptitude and commitment, there may be opportunities to undertake further qualifications and develop towards a Medical Service Engineer position.

What We Offer:

· 32 days holiday (including public holidays).

· Westfield Health Plan (subject to passing probationary period)

· Company pension scheme (subject to mandatory requirements).

· Access to cycle to work scheme.

· Free On site parking

· Good access from public transport networks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £26,780.00-£29,355.00 per year
