Maintenance Shift Engineer

4 on 4 off (2 days, 6am to 6pm & 2 nights (6pm to 6am))

Llangefni site based, permanent

£53,431 per annum plus excellent benefits

About the Job:

We have an opportunity within our maintenance department for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader.

The main job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Undertake and contribute to projects relating to reduction of energy costs across all areas.
  • Act to identify new opportunities to improve machine performance and reliability and via design, effect improvements efficiencies, troubleshooting engineering problems.
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems prior to them impacting performance and reliability.
  • Assist in group problem solving in conjunction with production department.
  • Support maintenance programme and implementation of preventive maintenance routines.

About You:

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • HNC/HND/NVQ3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering related discipline
  • IT Literate in Microsoft packages.
  • Previous relevant experience maintaining and repairing a range of equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes
  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing equipment, and of safety requirements in the maintenance and repair of same
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to display initiative and apply problem solving skills
  • Able to maintain records accurately and legibly
  • Organisational and planning ability
