Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Engineer to join the Endoscopy division, supporting customers across the North UK.

You will be responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, servicing and repair of advanced endoscopy and electro-medical equipment within NHS and private hospitals. This role offers a varied workload, comprehensive manufacturer training and the opportunity to work with market-leading medical technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on endoscopy and electro-medical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and electronic faults.
  • Install and commission new systems at customer sites.
  • Provide technical support and basic user training.
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Manage your own territory and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Support the wider engineering team when required.
  • Travel across the North UK with occasional overnight stays.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or similar engineering role.
  • Experience within medical devices, scientific instrumentation or other complex electro-mechanical equipment is advantageous.
  • Military engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage a regional territory.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Flexible to travel with occasional overnight stays.

Package:

  • Up to £45,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
  • 10% annual performance bonus
  • Company car or £540 per month car allowance

  • 26 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • 37.5-hour working week
