Full job description

The opportunity:

This is a legal role with real variety, real ownership, and a genuinely meaningful product behind it.

We are a market leading health tech SaaS business, and our software is used every day by hundreds of thousands of carers to support the lives of people who need care. We are growing fast, and we want our legal function to grow with us.

We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to sit at the centre of a commercially driven, fast moving business. This is not a contract review queue. You will be the first point of contact for legal queries across the business, a trusted partner to Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, Finance and Operations, and a key part of how the legal function continues to evolve.

Working closely with the Head of Legal, you will take real ownership of day to day legal operations from day one.

What the role involves:

You will handle a wide range of activity, including:

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements including customer contracts, supplier agreements, partnership arrangements and NDAs. Supporting the business on data protection and GDPR compliance. Providing legal input into public sector tenders and procurement processes. Partnering with commercial teams to remove blockers and enable confident decision making. Contributing to the development of legal processes and templates as the function scales.

The role requires sound judgement, the ability to balance legal risk with commercial pace, and the confidence to know when to advise, when to challenge, and when to escalate.

What we are looking for:

You are a qualified lawyer in England and Wales with 2 to 3 years PQE, including at least one year of in house experience. You have strong commercial contracts experience, a solid working knowledge of GDPR, and you are comfortable operating in a fast paced SaaS or technology environment.

Beyond the technical skills, you are someone who gets stuck in. You can translate complex legal concepts into plain language, manage a varied workload without dropping the detail, and build strong relationships with non legal stakeholders. You are calm under pressure, commercially aware, and proactive by nature.

This role will suit someone who wants to do meaningful work in a business where legal is genuinely valued, not just tolerated.

It is worth noting that all positions are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, references, and appropriate Right to Work documentation.

What we offer:

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by one day per completed year up to 30 days. A paid day off on your birthday. Paid volunteering days. Private Medical Insurance. Pension. Referral bonus. Access to a health and wellbeing platform including 24/7 GP and EAP. Counselling and wellbeing support. Cycle to Work scheme. Career development opportunities and regular reviews. Social events throughout the year.

We work in a genuinely flexible, hybrid way. There are no fixed office days. Whether you want to come in once a week, a couple of times a month, or every day, we will work around you.

If this sounds like your ideal role then please apply via the link below today and we will be in touch asap!
