Build a Career in Engineering – No Experience Required

Parking Facilities Ltd is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of gates, barriers, turnstiles, access control systems, security-rated products and vehicle mitigation solutions.

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join our Engineering team as a Trainee Technical Support & Applications Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in engineering and wants to develop a long-term technical career within a growing UK manufacturer.

No previous industry experience is required, as full training will be provided.

About the Role

You will work closely with our Engineering and Technical teams, learning how our products are designed, specified, manufactured and supported in the field.

As your knowledge develops, you will begin supporting customers, installers and internal departments with technical enquiries and product applications.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm and Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical customer support and problem solving
  • Learn how to interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Support product testing, validation and compliance activities
  • Assist with technical documentation and product specifications
  • Work alongside experienced engineers to investigate technical issues
  • Support continuous improvement and product development activities
  • Build product knowledge across our full range of access control and security products

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing
  • Is curious and enjoys learning new skills
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Enjoys problem solving

Desirable Qualifications

A Levels, BTEC Engineering, T Level Engineering, Product Design, Mathematics, Physics or similar technical qualifications.

However, qualifications are not essential. We are more interested in attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
