This role will require a presence of at least 4 days a week at our Nottingham Campus, with 1 day working from home to suit the student timetable. You maybe required to be on campus 5 days a week in some cases, based on teaching and meeting requirements. Our hybrid working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit which could changes at any point during your employment, so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department:

Our School of Psychology, within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology, is dedicated to delivering outstanding, applied psychology education. Our collaborative and diverse academic community brings together experienced academics, practitioner psychologists, and industry professionals who are passionate about equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to thrive in a wide range of psychology-related careers and professional settings.

About the Opportunity:

We are currently looking for two Lecturers in Psychology to join our Department of Psychology - UG to work in our Nottingham Campus. In this role you will be required to contribute to the development and delivery of our programmes. You will:

  • Deliver excellent teaching, learning and support to our students.

  • Lead and develop modules, ensuring high-quality learning materials and curriculum development.

  • Design excellent digital teaching material ensuring that content and methods of delivery meet defined learning objectives.

  • Undertake assessment marking, design authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.

  • Manage your own teaching activity and reflect on practice and development of skills, with support/guidance as needed.

  • Undertake administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities.

  • Actively contribute to School level activity.

About You:

To be successful as a Lecturer in Psychology you will need:

  • An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology, with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS).

  • Experience in teaching, learning, assessment, dissertation supervision, and pastoral care practices in Higher Education.

  • A track record of successfully contributing to programme teams and being an inspiring and creative lecturer.

  • AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or willing to achieve within 12-18 months.

  • We encourage applications from those with experience in teaching across the required BPS curriculum and topics related to clinical/counselling/mental health.

Highly Desirable Criteria:

  • A PhD (or close to completion) in Psychology or a closely related subject.

  • Expertise in, or a willingness to engage in, appropriate applied AI practices.
