Purpose of the Role

To support and co-ordinate the research, development and delivery of new products from concepts through to launch. The role is responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing customer led-product concepts and project managing the product development process to ensure successful commercial outcomes.

Key Tasks

• Conduct structured market research to identify customer needs, competitor activity and market gaps.
• Generate and evaluate new product ideas aligned with business strategy.
• Monitor industry trends, innovations and commercial opportunities.
• Develop product concepts through direct customer engagement and research.
• Organise and attend face-to-face customer research meetings.
• Prepare detailed design briefs for Product Design.
• Project manage new product development projects, ensuring milestones are met.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Operations.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders.
• Co-ordinate activities required for new product launches.
• Support the ongoing management and review of the existing product portfolio.
• Undertake business travel as required.

• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed parameters.
• Maintain strong customer engagement to support evidence-based product development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Product Design or Marketing or a related degree (minimum 2:1)

Working Hours

Full-time, permanent position.
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. (Flextime available)
30-minute lunch break.
Monthly pay in arrears (by the 28th of each month).
