Home Instead Richmond is expanding its team and looking for caring, compassionate female Care Assistants to support adults living at home with a range of needs throughout the local area.

We currently have Part-Time, Evening & Weekend vacancies available with immediate starts. We have morning, evening, and night shifts available.

We are looking for Care Assistants who may already have experience as a Support Worker or in Domiciliary Care, as well as those without prior experience looking to start a new career, as full training will be provided.

Occupational Requirement Notice

Genuine Occupational Requirement: Due to the nature of this role, which involves providing intimate personal care to female clients in their own homes, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post-holder to be female. This is permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

The Role

Being a Care Assistant means you need to be adaptable, personable, and ultimately put others first. Your role may include:

  • Providing companionship and emotional support

  • Helping with personal care (such as bathing, dressing, and toileting)

  • Helping with mobility around the home

  • Overseeing medication and providing medical support

  • Helping with housework such as cleaning and vacuuming

  • Preparing and cooking meals

  • Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions

Requirements

  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK. (Please note: We cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role).
