Full job description

We are now inviting applications for the position of Radiographer / Radiographer Assistant , for one of our clients at United Kingdom. The client is currently looking for radiographer for one of their operating locations providing patient service in MRI modality and also venturing into various other modalities into Radiology Domain.

The successful candidates will join a supportive team of professionals to develop their careers. The client is willing to invest in training and support to help the post holders to pursue a successful and fulfilling career.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following activities -

  • To deliver / support a high quality of diagnostic imaging to all service users, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of patient care and quality imaging.
  • Undertake / Support and perform MRI scanning with some rotation using the Image Intensifier..
  • To assist with monitoring stock and supplies in the department.
  • To perform regular QA tests on equipment and initiate/participate in Clinical Audit.
  • To develop and maintain radiology procedures in conjunction with radiologists, radiographers and other clinical staff as necessary.
  • To allow patients to be examined in a safe environment, to implement safety awareness in MRI, and Radiation protection and ensure that untoward incidents are reported.
  • Performing the medically unsupervised preparation, administration of drugs, intravenous annulations, MR contrast media, and pharmacological stress agents.
  • Performing accurate data entry into the radiology information system, PACS and all the electronic records pertinent to the Department of Radiology.
  • To attend and contribute to staff and other meetings to discuss and also in promote ideas for ongoing improvements in the service.
  • To obtain accurate MRI images in accordance to the safety guidelines /protocols of the unit.
  • Selecting options for the software and also in adjusting the MRI table and the MRI machine basing on the specific images that has to be carried out.
  • Reviewing the results input the results on the computer & must regularly checking equipment to make certain that is very functional in any procedures.

  • Understanding of caring, confidentiality, importance of developing knowledge, health and safety
  • Knowledge of patient care
  • Good communication skills, organise self and deliver task effectively, work as part of a team, presents self positively and professionally, ability to be patient focused
