Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and experienced Dental Receptionist (Temporary) to join our private dental practice in Birchington. This role involves providing exceptional front-desk support, managing patient appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a vital role in maintaining an efficient and welcoming environment. This temporary position offers valuable experience within a busy dental setting and requires a proactive approach to administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage patient appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling as needed
  • Answer telephone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
  • Assist with billing procedures, including processing payments and issuing invoices
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
  • Support the dental team with general administrative duties to facilitate smooth daily operations

Experience

  • Familiarity with Exact Dental software (or similar) is essential
