Join our award-winning team at Judith Day Optometrist, where fashion meets clinical excellence. With a stellar reputation built on recommendations and a commitment to exceptional service, we are a well established practice dedicated to both style and eye health. Our super team is known for it's professionalism, warmth and expertise.

We are seeking a friendly, organised and proactive receptionist to be one of the faces of our practice for three to four days a week. The role is crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients from the moment they walk through the doors. You will be responsible for managing our front desk, providing exceptional customer service and supporting our clinical teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly, manage check-ins and check-outs and handle inquiries both in-person and over the phone.
  • Appointment management - Schedule and confirm appointments, manage the appointment diary and ensure smooth flow of patients.
  • Administrative duties - Handle tasks such as data entry, maintaining patient records, processing payments and managing correspondence.
  • Booking appointments
  • Ensuring a smooth and friendly handover to the optometrist or dispensing optician.
  • Helping with administrative tasks associated with our contact lens care plan.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel work.
  • Organising invoices/statements.
  • Maintain reception area - Ensure the reception area is tidy, welcoming and stocked with necessary supplies and informational materials

Requirments:

Experience - Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a healthcare or fashion environment.

Skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities and proficient in basic computer applications.

Attributes - Friendly, approachable and professional demeanour with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Availability - Flexible with availability to help cover holidays when required with the ability to work 2 out of 4 Saturdays a month.
