Full job description

We are seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our busy GP practice reception team.

Hours

Regular shifts:

  • Monday: 13:15 - 18:45
  • Tuesday: 13:15 - 18:45
  • Friday: 14:00 - 18:00

In addition to these contracted hours, flexibility is essential as the successful candidate will be required to provide additional cover for colleagues' sickness absence, annual leave and other service needs.

Main Duties

  • Greeting patients and visitors
  • Answering telephones and dealing with enquiries
  • Booking and managing appointments
  • Processing registrations and updating patient records
  • General administrative and reception duties
  • Handing out patient medications and taking payents

About You

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Good IT and administrative skills
  • Able to work calmly in a busy environment
  • Team player with a flexible approach to work

Previous reception, customer service or GP surgery experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Job Type: Part-time (15 hours per week)
