Overview

Join our Practice as a Medical Records Administrator, where your organizational prowess and attention to detail will drive the efficient management of patient information. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and secure handling of medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations while supporting healthcare providers with timely access to essential data. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will help streamline operations and enhance patient care experiences.

Hours

The role is for 12hours. Two mornings per week, 6hrs each day. Days will need to be Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, organize, and update electronic and paper-based medical records with precision and confidentiality.
  • Ensure all records comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards for privacy and security.
  • Retrieve and provide medical information promptly to authorized personnel, supporting clinical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure records are complete, accurate, and accessible when needed.
  • Utilize computer skills, including Microsoft Office and specialized health information systems, to manage data efficiently and complete insurance related reports/requests.

Experience

  • Ideally a proven experience in medical records management or health information administration.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent analysis skills to interpret data accuracy and identify potential issues proactively.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective collaboration across departments.
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Organizational skills that enable efficient handling of large volumes of data while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
