Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare administration team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential medical records, ensuring compliance with data protection standards, and supporting the efficient operation of healthcare facilities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through meticulous record management and effective communication.

Duties

  • Accurately organise, file, and update patient medical records in accordance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
  • Retrieve and provide medical records promptly to authorised personnel, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • Input data into electronic health record systems using computer skills
  • Conduct analysis of medical records to identify discrepancies or missing information, supporting quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure records are complete, accurate, and compliant with privacy regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in medical records management or healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with healthcare professionals and administrative staff.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and confidentiality standards within healthcare settings.
  • Experience providing customer service in a healthcare or administrative context is desirable
