Are you an experienced Midweight Medical Copywriter looking to take the next step in your career? Do you enjoy transforming complex scientific information into engaging, accurate, and impactful content for healthcare professionals and wider audiences?

We're partnering with a highly respected healthcare communications agency that delivers internationally recognised projects across pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team that's small enough to give you real autonomy, ownership and visibility, yet established enough to work on global campaigns and scientifically significant projects.

The Role

As a Midweight Medical Copywriter, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality medical and scientific content across a variety of healthcare communications projects. Working closely with account teams, medical experts and clients, you'll create engaging and accurate content that meets the highest scientific and regulatory standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented writer who enjoys interpreting scientific data, analysing research and crafting compelling communications for diverse healthcare audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality medical copy across a range of healthcare and pharmaceutical communications projects.
  • Interpret and communicate complex scientific and medical information clearly and accurately.
  • Write a variety of materials including educational content, digital campaigns, websites, publications, slide decks, reports and promotional materials.
  • Review and analyse original scientific literature, clinical data and research publications.
  • Adapt global scientific content into UK-specific materials while ensuring accuracy, compliance and relevance.
  • Collaborate with medical, creative and account management teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Ensure all content meets client objectives, brand guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Stay informed on therapeutic areas, healthcare trends and scientific developments.

About You

  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a healthcare communications agency, pharmaceutical organisation or similar healthcare environment.
  • Strong medical writing and scientific storytelling skills.
  • Confident working from original research papers and scientific literature.
  • Experience adapting international scientific content for UK audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare communications and pharmaceutical environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A degree in a life sciences, biomedical or related discipline would be advantageous.
