Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a specialist medical device supplier in the recruitment of a Medical Sales Account Manager.
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast paced team to promote an exciting range of medical devices. The primary function of the role is to maximise sales predominantly through a virtual (video & telephone) approach. The role works to targets and requires a high level of clinical and technical understanding as well as strong selling and communication skills. Utilising their consultative selling approach, you will understand needs and sell through providing solutions. You will be required to provide technical / clinical product support and high levels of account management to ensure continuity of business as well as new business acquisition. You will be required to understand sales data and be able to identify trends and changes to build business plans for future success. The role requires independent working as well as a strong team ethic.
Key responsibilities:
· Maximise sales of company’s portfolio through an ethical and consultative approach
· Maintain and build customer relationships for the long term
· Determine customer needs and provide product / procedural solutions
· Follow company priorities and marketing objectives with a view to maximising sales opportunities
·
Evaluate competitors
and their products responding proactively to market changes and external
influences
·
Develop business plans
for retention of existing customers and identify new customers / sales
opportunities and target these appropriately
·
Research, develop &
maintain an accurate and thorough knowledge of all products and related
procedures, keeping abreast of new developments in relevant fields
· Meet agreed sales targets, business objectives and deadlines
· Maintain company records and provide reports when required
Required Skills & Experience:
Applicants will be educated to degree level in a relevant degree (science, biology, biomedicine etc)
Candidates must have a thirst for knowledge, be strong communicators in all modalities, be self-motivated and driven and have a strong work ethic. Some sales experience is beneficial but by no means essential as provide full sales and product training will be provided.
· Confident communicator over video calling, telephone and in face-to-face scenarios – ability to quickly engage customer, vary tone, ask questions, and understand customer needs
