Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Pharmacy Apprentice to join our healthcare team. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in pharmacy operations, medication management, and patient care within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will work closely with qualified pharmacy staff to develop essential skills and knowledge required for a future career in pharmacy or healthcare.

Duties

  • Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medications under supervision
  • Support pharmacy technicians with inventory management and stock organisation
  • Provide basic medication administration support, ensuring accuracy and safety
  • Engage in patient care activities, including answering queries and providing information about medications
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient interactions in compliance with data protection regulations
  • Help ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy environment
  • Participate in training sessions to develop understanding of pharmacy procedures and regulations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or related role is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of medication administration processes is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a caring approach towards patients
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions carefully
  • A genuine interest in healthcare and patient wellbeing
  • Willingness to undertake training and develop professional skills in pharmacy practice
