Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional front-desk support, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining efficient administrative operations within the practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office and administrative experience to contribute to a caring and patient-focused environment.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders using practice software
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, directing enquiries appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
  • Handle administrative tasks such as electronic filing, photocopying
  • Collect and process payments in accordance with practice procedures
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
  • Adhere to confidentiality protocols and data protection regulations

Qualifications

  • Previous office experience is essential, ideally within a healthcare or similar environment
  • Reception experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
