Full job description

This is an interesting and varied role within a fast paced environment.

Working in Reception, dealing with patients and visitors to the practice and handling telephone enquiries such as booking patient appointments or working on the administration side where you carry out numerous admin tasks associated with the smooth running of an efficient medical practice.

Successful applicants should have experience of working as part of a team in a busy customer facing environment and be able to handle numerous often complex queries both in person and over the telephone.

You should be able to prioritise your work and react quickly to changing situations. You must have an eye for detail, be patient and be empathetic, professional and polite.

Duties of the job include but are not limited to:

Providing a friendly, welcoming and professional service to all patients and visitors to the practice.

Resolving patient queries including patient prescription queries and liaising with pharmacies and clinical staff.

Signposting patients to the correct service

Maintain patient records on System One (Clinical System) Training provided.

Scanning, filing and processing necessary workflow tasks.

The successful candidate needs to be able to work 24 hours per week with varying shift patterns (Monday to Friday working 7:45am earliest start and 6:30pm latest finish) 3 days per week

Pay: £12.71 per hour
