Medical Receptionist / Administrator – Full-Time & Part-Time

Our busy, friendly GP practice in Glasgow’s Southside is looking for both a full-time and a part-time Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team.

The full-time position is 37 hours per week, worked over 4 or 5 days.

The part-time position is 24 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 9.30am–6.00pm on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, be motivated and willing to learn. We are looking for people who can work confidently in a busy environment, effectively prioritise their workload and use their own initiative.

Previous medical reception experience would be an advantage, and a working knowledge of EMIS and Docman would be helpful, but neither is essential as full training will be provided.

As a Medical Receptionist/Administrator within our practice, you will have a patient-focused and professional telephone manner and the ability to remain calm and helpful under pressure.

Duties will include:

Welcoming and assisting patients at reception

Making patient appointments

Taking requests for home visits

Answering telephone calls

Processing prescription requests

Carrying out a range of general administrative duties
