Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where attention to detail and compassionate communication are highly valued. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen interest in healthcare administration.

Duties

  • Handle outbound calls to patients who have expressed interest in our clinical trials.
  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary
  • Handle incoming calls, respond to enquiries, and direct messages efficiently to the clinical staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in our management system
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy and organised at all times
  • Support clinical staff with administrative duties as required
  • Adhere to confidentiality policies and data protection regulations at all times

Skills

  • Proven office experience, ideally within a healthcare or medical setting
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly demeanour
  • Proficiency in using office software programmes such as MS Office or similar applications
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and data entry
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally
  • Experience in administrative roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific practice systems
