Act as WDA(H) Licence Holder and GDP Responsible Person, ensuring compliance with MHRA expectations for medicinal categories.
Sign off regulatory documentation including technical files, PIFs, safety assessments, labels, claims, test protocols, certifications, and risk assessments.
Provide clarity, interpretation and pragmatic application of regulatory requirements to internal teams and clients.

Responsible Person Capability

Act as the named Responsible Person (RP) on the WDA, with ultimate accountability for GDP compliance, MHRA liaison, and the quality and integrity of medicinal products at the Manchester site.
Provide expert oversight of pharmaceutical supply chain, quality systems, and regulatory requirements, with authority to make critical decisions to safeguard patient safety and product quality.

Product Quality & Operational Excellence

Lead development and continuous improvement of QMS across fulfilment centres and Ingenuity operations.
Oversee product testing programmes, quality standards, inbound/outbound processes, and operational product-handling expectations.
Drive a culture of product quality, operational accuracy, and risk awareness across fulfilment networks.
Maintain executive alignment with COO and provide regular reporting on partnership performance, pipeline, and strategic impact.

Supplier & Manufacturing Compliance

Lead supplier assurance programmes across all product categories including audits, onboarding, technical reviews, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
Ensure full alignment of manufacturing partners, laboratories and suppliers with THG’s compliance and quality standards.
Oversee corrective actions, escalations and performance improvement initiatives.

Governance, Risk, Incident & Crisis Management

Own THG’s product safety and compliance risk frameworks, including enterprise-level risk registers.
Lead investigations, recalls, withdrawals, incident reporting, CAPAs, and interface with regulators where required.
Provide risk-based decision-making that balances regulatory obligations with commercial implications.

Commercial, Client & Tender Leadership

Act as the senior compliance and quality contact for major B2B clients, Ingenuity brands, and regulated industry partners.
Lead regulatory and technical inputs into public sector tenders (including NHS), global brand RFPs/RFQs, and regulated-category bids.
Educate clients on THG’s compliance capability, support onboarding of complex categories, and guide feasibility/go-no-go decisions.
Partner with Legal, Commercial and Client teams to negotiate compliance clauses, product safety responsibilities, and quality SLAs.

Team Leadership & Development

Build and develop a multidisciplinary Regulatory, Quality & Compliance team spanning consumer goods, food, pharmaceuticals, beauty, electricals, and general merchandise.
Create a culture of cross-functional collaboration, pragmatic problem solving, and commercially aware compliance delivery.
Oversee prioritisation, resource planning, and continuous improvement of compliance workflows.

Cultural Requirements & Ways of Working

Operate with a commercial mindset, enabling growth while ensuring regulatory defensibility and product safety.
Promote a culture where teams respect regulatory boundaries while being empowered to find efficient, client-friendly solutions.
Model collaborative behaviour across Legal, Fulfilment, Commercial, Operations, Tech and Supply Chain teams.
Champion data-driven decision making and structured risk tolerance discussions.

Skills & Experience Required:
Extensive experience across multi-category regulatory frameworks (food, beauty, pharmaceuticals, electricals, toys/textiles, FMCG, general merchandise).
Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary compliance/quality teams in a global, high-volume environment.
Experience as WDA(H) Licence Holder or senior GDP/RP-level pharmaceutical compliance leader.
