Fancy swapping the UK weather for Australian sunshine while receiving a competitive income on a Working Holiday visa?

We are seeking skilled UK-based Belt Splicers and Mechanical Trades; individuals that are eager to relocate to Western Australia and join our operations team. In this hands on role, you'll ensure the safe and efficient maintenance, repair, and splicing of conveyor belts across REMA TIP TOP sites in Australia. We are looking for people who are keen to deliver exceptional services that uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, replace & refurbish heavy-duty conveyor systems
  • Splice and handle steel cord, fabric & woven belts
  • Maintain rollers, tracking, skirting & belt cleaning systems
  • Operate vulcanising & specialist belt handling equipment
  • Carry out repairs, fault finding & preventative maintenance
  • Work closely with supervisors to keep sites safe and production moving

Section criteria:

  • Prior relevant conveyor experience in all splicing, repairs, belt change outs, inserts, re-splices, equipment operation and shutdown preparation.
  • Mechanical trade qualifications and experience preferable.
  • Well-developed verbal/written communication and interpersonal.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely manage a variety of tasks and achieve effective and timely outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Actively seek out ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Have an ability to pass a full pre-employment medical test and drug and alcohol screening.
  • Full Australian working rights (eligible for working holiday visa (subclass 417 or 462), holding visa with full work rights or Australian permanent resident or citizen).
