Location: Birmingham (Multiple Sites)
Organisation: Health Harmonie

Rate: £60 per hour
Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
Shifts Available: 2–4 shifts per week

About the Role

Health Harmonie is seeking experienced Sonographers to support the delivery of high-quality ultrasound services across Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled clinicians looking for flexible sessional work within a community diagnostic setting.

The successful candidates will be responsible for independently performing and reporting a range of ultrasound examinations while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical governance.

Locations

Services will be delivered across the following sites:

  • Highfield Road, 26 Highfield Road, Birmingham, B15 3DP
  • Sparkhill Primary Care Centre, 856 Stratford Road, Birmingham, B11 4BW
  • The Apollo Surgery, 619 Kings Road, Great Barr, Birmingham, B44 9HW
  • West Heath Surgery, 196 West Heath Road, Birmingham, B31 3HB (Thursday clinics)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
  • Independently assess, scan, and report findings in line with departmental protocols.
  • Deliver a high standard of patient-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and referring clinicians.
  • Adhere to all relevant professional, clinical governance, and health and safety standards.

Caseload

The role will primarily involve:

  • Abdominal ultrasound scans
  • Renal ultrasound scans
  • Pelvic ultrasound scans

Activity Levels

  • Approximately 22 patients per clinic list
  • One clinic list per day
  • 2–4 clinic sessions available per week

Essential Requirements

  • HCPC registered Radiographer and/or relevant professional registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent.
  • Competency in abdominal, renal, and pelvic ultrasound examinations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and produce accurate diagnostic reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
