Job Title: Gynaecology Sonographer – Pelvic Scans

Patient Load: 3 Patients per Hour (Approx. 23 Patients per Day)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Gynaecology Sonographer to join our community healthcare team in Gloucester. This part-time role involves performing pelvic ultrasound scans for gynaecological assessments in a supportive outpatient setting. The successful candidate will work one weekday per week, delivering high-quality care to approximately 23 patients per day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic ultrasound scans.
• Assess and document findings related to gynaecological conditions (e.g., fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial thickness).
• Collaborate with referring clinicians to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality throughout the scanning process.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately.
• Adhere to clinical governance and infection control protocols.

Requirements:

• Qualified Sonographer with MSc, DMU, Post Graduate Diploma or certificate in Medical Ultrasound awarded by the Consortium for Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE) approved higher education provider.
• HCPC or RCT Registererd
• Must have own Indemnity Insurance cover.
• Have an up-to-date professional development portfolio.
• Professional membership.
• Five years minimum post qualification experience..
