We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity new opportunity for a Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber, working within our Severe Multiple Disadvantaged (SMD) team in Nottinghamshire. This role will work countywide on an outreach basis supporting people to access support quicker for drug and/or alochol unmet needs. You’ll be an integral part of a diverse and experienced multi-disciplinary team, which includes skilled managers, specialist doctors, compassionate nurses, committed recovery workers, and inspiring peer mentors and volunteers.

Where:
Nottinghamshire (the postholder will base in a mobile clinical van and will work across a range of community locations throughout the county, including car parks/outside community centres etc.).

Hours:
37.5 per week
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2028

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

(The postholder will provide support across the county. The contractual base will be the CGL office nearest to the successful candidate’s home location, with regular travel throughout the county as required.)

As an NMP, you’ll play a key role in delivering recovery-focused alcohol and drug intervention services. This includes:
  • Assessing and treating service users: Offering care tailored to their needs, prescribing or adjusting opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications.
  • Developing the prescribing clinic: Acting as a go-to expert for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters.
  • Supporting people on their recovery journey: Ensuring a compassionate and professional approach to help service users achieve their goals.

  • At least one year’s relevant and recent experience of working within substance misuse treatment
  • Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions
  • Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports as necessary
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
