Mental Health HCAs & RGNs Wanted Across Wales — Flexible Agency Shifts Available

Zentar Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced Mental Health Healthcare Assistants and Registered General Nurses for ongoing agency shifts across Wales & Somerset.

We are looking for reliable, professional and committed healthcare workers who are confident working in busy hospital, mental health and care environments. Roles Available

We are currently looking for:

  • Mental Health Healthcare Assistants — MH HCA
  • Registered General Nurses — RGN

Mental Health HCA Requirements

Applicants for Mental Health HCA roles should ideally have:

  • Previous experience in mental health, hospital, secure, supported living or similar care settings
  • Confidence supporting patients with mental health needs
  • Good communication and observation skills
  • Ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure
  • PMVA, MAPA, restraint, breakaway or relevant mental health training, where applicable
  • Mandatory training certificates
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete required checks
  • Professional references

RGN Requirements

Applicants for Registered General Nurse roles must have:

  • Valid NMC registration
  • Previous UK nursing experience
  • Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider clinical team
  • Up-to-date training and compliance documents
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete required checks
  • Professional references

Duties May Include

Depending on the role and placement, duties may include:

  • Supporting patients with daily care needs
  • Observing and reporting changes in patient condition
  • Supporting mental health patients safely and professionally
  • Assisting clinical teams on wards or units
  • Maintaining dignity, respect and confidentiality
  • Following safeguarding, infection control and health and safety procedures
  • Completing accurate documentation where required
  • Supporting safe staffing across healthcare settings

For RGNs, duties may also include:

  • Medication administration
  • Clinical observations
  • Care planning and evaluation
  • Escalating clinical concerns
  • Supporting junior staff and healthcare assistants
  • Working in line with NMC standards
