About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who loves creating memorable guest experiences.

As the first person our guests meet (or speak to), you'll play a huge part in creating a brilliant first impression and ensuring every stay runs smoothly from start to finish.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism
  • Managing reservations, check-ins and check-outs
  • Responding to emails, phone calls and guest enquiries
  • Using multiple booking systems and online platforms confidently
  • Liaising closely with our restaurant and kitchen team to ensure bookings, dietary requirements, allergies and menu information are communicated accurately
  • Coordinating guest requests across the hotel
  • Keeping reception organised and running smoothly throughout the day
  • Supporting the wider hotel team whenever needed

This role requires great communication not just with the customer, but with the other teams within the hotel, from housekeeping to the kitchen team.

Requirements:

  • Is exceptionally organised with great attention to detail
  • Is confident using computers and happy working across multiple booking systems
  • Has excellent communication skills in person, over the phone and by email
  • Loves working with people and providing genuine hospitality
  • Can juggle multiple tasks while remaining calm under pressure
  • Works well with different departments and enjoys being part of a team
  • Takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service
  • min 1-year experience working on reception in a hotel (or a similar customer-facing role)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ready and willing to learn
  • Strong writing and English skills.

Desirable:

(Training will be provided on specific systems used here at the hotel)

  • Previous experience working in a boutique hotel and using booking systems.
  • Knowledge & experience using ResDiary

The details

  • Four daytime shifts. Rotations will include weekends on times
  • 8am - 5pm
  • 28 days holiday
  • Please note: There is no accommodation provision at the premises.
