The Prince of Wales Hotel – Berkeley, Gloucestershire

Salary: £30,000–£50,000 per year (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: On-site
Accommodation available for the right candidate

The Prince of Wales Hotel is undergoing an exciting transformation, and we're looking for a driven, hands-on Dual Operations Manager to lead both our hotel and restaurant.

This is not a desk-based role. We're looking for someone with a strong "can-do" attitude who leads from the front, isn't afraid to get involved in the day-to-day operation, and is ready to take on the challenge of helping build a successful business.

The first 6–12 months will require commitment, resilience, and hard work to establish the operation, build a strong team, and drive the business forward.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel and restaurant.
  • Lead reception, housekeeping, food & beverage, and events.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Improve guest satisfaction, occupancy, and restaurant revenue.
  • Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and compliance.
  • Handle operational challenges with confidence and professionalism.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years' management experience in hospitality (hotel experience preferred).
  • A proactive leader with excellent organisational and people management skills.
  • Someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys a challenge.
  • Willingness to work hard during the initial growth phase and lead by example.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary of £30,000–£50,000 DOE.
  • Accommodation available for the right candidate.
  • Employee discounts and free on-site parking.
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression as the business grows.

This role is for serious applicants only. If you're looking for a career-defining opportunity and are ready to help build something special, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unfortunately unable to respond to every applicant individually. Applications that do not meet the essential experience and suitability requirements will be declined automatically. If you are shortlisted, a member of our team will contact you directly. We appreciate your interest and understanding.
