Full job description
We at Best Practice Network share the belief that every child, regardless of their background, should benefit from an excellent education. To achieve that, we support and train the educational professionals who work alongside them to be the best they can be, so in turn, they can transform the lives of children and young people.
We're a friendly, DfE accredited, Ofsted outstanding training company providing apprenticeships, professional development and the DfE's 'Golden Thread' (trainee teachers to school Executive Leaders). We are adaptable, collaborative, and genuinely value the work we do to support the education sector, as much as our trainees do.
Our people are at the heart of our business and our passion and commitment to education is what drives us. As a result, we have seen incredible growth over the last few years both nationally and internationally.
We aim to be an employer where everyone can be themselves, do their best in an inclusive working environment and where all colleagues can thrive and reach their full potential. We want to attract, develop and retain individuals with different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives.
To lead the day-to-day relationship with a portfolio of partner trusts, ensuring high levels of retention, engagement, and growth. As the primary point of contact, you will build strong relationships with trust leaders and their schools, increase learner enrolments, communicate organisational priorities clearly, and provide regular reporting on progress, engagement, and impact to partners and internal stakeholders.
Main Duties
1. Account management and partner relationships
- Own the relationship for a portfolio of trust partners, acting as the primary point of contact for trust leaders and key school contacts.
- Build strong relationships across the trust, including executive leaders and operational stakeholders, to strengthen engagement and retention.
- Create and maintain account plans for each trust, with clear objectives, actions, and measures of success.
- Identify risks to engagement or retention early, put improvement actions in place, and escalate where appropriate.
- Ensure partners receive a consistent, high quality experience through proactive communication and timely issue resolution.
2. Enrolment growth and partner activity
- Increase learner (and subsequent programme) enrolments across trust schools by planning and delivering targeted engagement activity throughout the year.
- Work with trusts and schools to identify priority roles, cohorts, and suitable programme pathways to support workforce development.
- Plan and deliver trust wide briefings, school based sessions, and events that support recruitment, conversion, and programme understanding.
- Use partner insight and performance data to recommend actions that improve conversion from interest to enrolment and reduce drop off.
- Ensure partner activity is coordinated with internal teams so marketing, recruitment, and delivery timelines are aligned.
3. Workforce development planning and consultancy
- Facilitate workforce development conversations with trust leaders to understand priorities, challenges, and strategic goals.
- Support trusts to translate workforce priorities into practical plans, including engagement milestones and enrolment targets.
- Provide clear guidance on programme suitability, eligibility, and key timelines so partners can make informed decisions.
- Encourage participation across schools by tailoring messaging and activity to different contexts, roles, and staffing pressures.
4. Reporting, insight, and performance management
- Lead regular review meetings with trusts and school leaders, sharing progress updates, performance insight, and agreed next steps.
- Provide accurate reporting on learner engagement and progress to both partners and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, actions, risks, and partner communications in internal systems.
- Monitor account health, track delivery against agreed plans, and use insight to focus support where it will have the most impact.
5. Collaboration, delivery coordination, and service improvement
- Work closely with business operations and the delivery partner network to coordinate support, resolve issues, and meet partner expectations.
- Ensure partner queries are managed effectively, coordinating internal responses and keeping partners updated.
- Share partner feedback, themes, and improvement opportunities to strengthen processes, reporting, and the overall partner experience.
- Contribute to internal planning by forecasting expected enrolments and highlighting opportunities or risks across your portfolio.
Personal Specification
- Proven sales and relationship/account management experience
- Work well under pressure with the ability to deal with issues as they arise
- Exceptional administration and organisation
- Existing knowledge of the education sector and apprenticeship training
- Highly motivated
- Forward facing always looking for ways to improve processes and outputs
Our Benefits:
