Full job description

Alu-Fix Facades Ltd are a principal contractor specialising in aluminium and facade installation. Due to an extended period of growth, Alu-Fix Facades are looking for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to join our team covering Edgware and the surrounding area.

The Role

As Resident Liaison Officer, you will engage, build and maintain professional relationships with residents and local businesses to optimise the company's service and reputation.

You will act as a key point of communication between the site team, residents, business owners and our clients, ensuring that residents and businesses are kept fully informed of planned works, progress and any activities which may affect their day-to-day lives.

A key part of the role will be minimising disruption to residents and business owners, gaining access to properties where required and establishing positive relationships with all parties to help ensure a smooth process throughout the works.

You will also be responsible for booking appointments, dealing with complaints and issues, maintaining property and resident information, carrying out validation and customer satisfaction surveys and providing feedback to the Alu-Fix management team.

Location: Edgware and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities

  • Being the first point of contact for resident and job queries and ensuring that they are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with residents, local businesses and other stakeholders regarding planned works and when works may impact building users or communal areas.
  • Ensuring residents and businesses are kept informed of all works to be carried out and updated on ongoing progress, changes and adaptations through effective and prompt communication.
  • Booking appointments and assisting the site team in gaining access to properties and units as required.
  • Managing and resolving difficulties and complaints, liaising and negotiating with all parties with a view to finding a swift and appropriate solution.
  • Taking the time to understand individual concerns and ensuring all residents are treated fairly and professionally.
  • Supporting the site team during peaks in demand with emails and general queries from residents and local businesses.
  • Maintaining accurate property, resident and communication records.
  • Organising consultations with resident and tenant groups, taking notes and passing relevant feedback to the Alu-Fix management team.
  • Collecting and collating client and resident satisfaction feedback and carrying out customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Compiling reports where required, including records of complaints, meetings, resident feedback and outstanding actions.
  • Relaying improvement ideas and feedback from residents and businesses to help minimise disruption and continuously improve the service provided by Alu-Fix Facades.

About You

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable dealing with residents, businesses, clients and site teams.

You will need to be organised, approachable and able to communicate information in a friendly and easy-to-understand manner. You should be confident dealing with complaints and sensitive situations, with the ability to listen, understand individual concerns and work towards practical solutions.

You must be IT literate, hardworking and able to work both individually and as part of a team.

The successful Resident Liaison Officer should have:

  • Previous Resident Liaison Officer experience, ideally within construction, refurbishment or a similar environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A friendly and professional approach with a passion for customer service.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to adapt communication styles depending on the individual or situation.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Good Microsoft Office and general computer literacy skills.
  • The ability and willingness to work within a live construction environment with an appreciation of on-site operations.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS card would be beneficial.
