Café Supervisor

Thoulstone Pavilion – Farm Shop Café

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, energetic Café Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of Thoulstone Pavilion. This role is key in delivering a warm, welcoming experience while maintaining high standards across service, food presentation, and team performance.

You’ll lead by example on the floor, ensuring smooth service, happy guests, and a motivated team.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Guest Experience

  • Deliver exceptional, friendly service in line with our farm shop café values
  • Lead service periods, ensuring efficiency and a calm, positive atmosphere
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor during busy periods

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, support, and motivate the front-of-house team
  • Assist with training new starters and developing existing team members
  • Ensure team presentation, punctuality, and standards are consistently met
  • Support rota management and daily team briefings

Operations

  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure the café is clean, organised, and visually on-brand at all times
  • Work closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth service flow
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering when required

Standards & Compliance

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and food safety
  • Ensure all company procedures are followed
  • Support in maintaining a premium, farm shop café environment

  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality supervisory role
  • A natural host with a passion for great food and service
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
