Medical Secretary

Location: Central London

Salary: £13.85 - £15.00
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Locum/Temporary)

We are seeking a professional, organised, and compassionate Medical Secretary to join our busy healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to clinicians.
  • Manage appointments, referrals, and patient correspondence.
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries professionally.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Prepare clinical letters, reports, and other documentation.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and external organisations.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the administrative office.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a medical secretary or healthcare administrative role.
  • Excellent typing and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
