YOUR PRIMARY ROLE

Your role will be to visit clients at their home or solicitors office to collect samples such as hair, nails, saliva, urine and blood. Having a phlebotomy certificate and experience to take blood is highly advantageous and holding a valid full driving licence is mandatory

You should be a strong communicator, be able to support clients to relax and feel comfortable at the appointments. In this role you are the face and true representative of DNA Legal.

KEY TASKS

  • Maintain relevant qualifications and insurance - phlebotomy, enhanced DBS certificate, Public Liability Insurance
  • Updating your work calendar with availability on a weekly basis
  • Conduct a thorough risk assessment prior to entering each premises to conduct a collection ensuring personal safety and participant safeguarding is a priority.
  • Complete Hair, Nail, Blood, DNA, Urine and Saliva sample collections accurately and in accordance with training and company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain continuous communication with the office with respect of: issues at appointments, non attendance, challenges from clients, timekeeping and safeguarding concerns.
  • Provide ‘statements of truth’ about events at appointments with accurate and detailed information to the best of your recollection when required.
  • Provide sufficient notification of holiday and sickness so that scheduled appointments can be covered.
  • To attend team meetings each month
  • To attend necessary training & refresher training to ensure collection skills are kept up to date.
  • To take on and immediately implement any feedback provided by the collection and management team from customers and competency monitoring.
  • To deliver exceptional service quality to clients with 100% accuracy and precision
  • Adhere to strict security screening when speaking to customers

Job Types:

We are looking for someone to work part time. You will be paid per appointment plus mileage and any expenses incurred for work activities. You will work within a 2 hour radius of your home.

Training and Next Steps

If we see you have the potential to join us, we will send you a link to complete a self recorded online video interview. If you are successful we will send you an invite to join a live video interview.

For successful candidates we have 4 days of training, split over two parts. You will be paid expenses for training.

The first training days will be on the 24th & 25th August 2026 in Frome, BA11 4FN. The second day on the 25th will be finishing at 1pm sharp.

The second part of training days will be on the 10th & 11th September 2026.

It is mandatory that you attend all the training in person.

Experience:

  • Phlebotomy: 2 years (preferred)
  • Working in a people facing role (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
