Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) – Non-Clinical, Prescribing Role | Vetscriptions

Part-Time | 3 mornings a week, 9am–1pm | Croydon

Are you an MRCVS looking for a change of pace, away from clinical practice, but still putting your veterinary knowledge to good use?

We have a unique opportunity for a qualified veterinary surgeon to join our friendly, close-knit team at Vetscriptions, a well-established and rapidly growing online pet pharmacy based in Croydon, South London. This is a genuinely different role for a vet: no consults, no surgery, no on-call — just a valued, non-clinical position at the heart of our prescribing process.

You'll be responsible for reviewing and signing off prescriptions, ensuring all medication requests are appropriate, safe and correctly authorised before they reach our customers. Working alongside our dedicated pharmacy team, you'll help support the smooth, compliant running of our dispensing process.

This role is ideal for a vet who wants to step back from clinical work — whether due to family commitments, a career change, semi-retirement, or simply wanting a better work-life balance — while staying connected to the profession.

Essential:

• MRCVS qualification (fully registered)

The role offers:

• A set, predictable schedule of 3 mornings a week (9am–1pm)
• No clinical duties, no out-of-hours or on-call
