ERP Manager
Plant-Ex Ingredients – Avonmouth Pay: £35,000 – 40,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Quick Overview

- Location: In person (Avonmouth)

What You’ll Be Doing
As an ERP Manager, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of internal software applications. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions, ensuring applications are scalable, efficient, and aligned with the company's goals. You will also be tasked with managing database systems, troubleshooting issues, and integrating new technologies into our existing software environment.
- Develop and maintain in-house applications using SQL, JavaScript and VBA to support operational requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure applications are responsive, user-friendly, and meet the functional needs of various departments (e.g., production, logistics, procurement).
- Maintain SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
- Write complex queries, manage database performance, and troubleshoot issues to optimize application and system performance.
- Troubleshoot application issues and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to internal teams, ensuring that issues are identified and resolved efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their software needs and suggest enhancements to existing applications.
- Ensure that software documentation is up-to-date and accessible for both technical and non-technical staff.
- Provide 1st line support in conjunction with our MSP
· Work with external providers and MSPs to support system integrations, upgrades, and development projects.
· Support shop-floor and warehouse systems from an applications perspective, including barcode scanning, labelling, and production data capture
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Strong experience in SQL, including writing complex queries and managing relational databases. Proficiency in JavaScript it highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Knowledge of version control systems
Desirable
- Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment.
You must have the right to work in the UK (No visa sponsorship available).
