We are seeking an experienced and organised individual to join the Thames Valley and Surrey (TVS) Secure Data Environment (SDE) Programme, hosted by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH), to lead access-related operational processes across the programme.

This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of leading and developing innovative solutions that will transform scientific research and healthcare delivery within the NHS.

The TVS SDE manages access to routinely collected health and care data and associated services for approved research and planning purposes. The a ccess ser vice guid es applicants from their initial enquiry through to the safe, lawful, and well-governed use of data within the environment, ensuring a consistent and transparent process for all stakeholders.

Worki ng with a high de gree of independence, t he successful candidate will take ownership of the delivery and continuous improvement of the access ser vice , being accountab le for activities from enquiry and triage through to review, decision tracking, fulfilment, onboarding, active use, and closure.

The ac cess p rocess is a pi vot al element of the TVS SD E , and the effective managemen t of this is a vital contribut ion towards t he succe ss of the overall s ervice .

Reporting to the Programme Manager and accountable to the Senior Programme Manager , the post holder will take ownership of the day-to-day management and coordination of the access process for the TVS SDE . Working with a high degree of independence, they will ensure the access process operate s seamlessly and align s with national standards, organisational goals, and user needs. This includes ensuring requests to use data and services for approved research and planning purposes progress through the appropriate stages in a timely , consistent, and well-governed way.

They will work collaboratively and proactively across functional areas (commercial, service, technical, information governance, programme, and engagement), to ensure cohesive and effective service outcomes. Th e posth older will al so l ead and support the development of robust reporting systems that provide actionable insights and drive the continuous improvement of the service function.
