Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our dynamic team. This paid internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in social media management and public relations within a vibrant organisation. The successful candidate will assist in developing engaging content, managing online platforms, and supporting our brand’s digital presence. Day to day tasks include researching, scripting, filming and editing engaging and viral style content for an extremely fast growing ecom brand. There is a lot of room for growth with the company as you will be one of the earliest hires for our organic growth team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about digital marketing, eager to learn, and looking to build their professional portfolio in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching, creating, scheduling, and publishing content across various social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor social media platforms for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities; respond appropriately to foster community interaction.
  • Support the development of social media campaigns aligned with organisational goals.
  • Analyse social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of content and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members on public relations initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media management and digital marketing.
  • Contribute ideas for new content formats and innovative ways to engage audiences.

Skills

  • Strong interest in social media management and digital communication strategies.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Basic understanding of public relations principles and how they apply within social media contexts.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
  • Organisation skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms’ features and analytics tools is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in social media management and public relations, ideal for aspiring marketing professionals seeking to develop their skills while contributing to meaningful projects within a supportive organisation.
