JOB DESCRIPTION: Front of House Server

LOCATION: Manor Farm Park & Woodlands.

REPORTING TO: F&B Manager, Café Supervisor Antlers, Café Supervisor Laughing Donkey

Overall Job Purpose

Manor Farm Parks F&B business units now account for over 20% of its total revenue. The role of the Café Supervisor is to help in the smooth day to day running of our cafés and maintain consistently high standards of presentation and customer service. You will be required to work to an operational rota which will include bank holidays and weekends.

Job Specification – Front of House (FOH) Server

Manor Farm Park & Woodlands – East Leake Hours: 4 days over 7 (must include weekends and Bank Holidays)

Role Purpose

To deliver excellent customer service across our cafés and food service areas, ensuring guests receive a warm welcome, efficient service, and a consistently high‑quality experience. FOH Servers play a key role in maintaining the friendly, family‑focused atmosphere Manor Farm Park & Woodlands is known for.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Provide friendly, attentive and professional service to all visitors.
  • Take orders accurately, serve food and drinks promptly, and ensure guests have everything they need.
  • Maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere at all times.

Operational Tasks

  • Set up FOH areas for opening, including displays, counters, condiment stations and seating areas.
  • Clear tables, wipe surfaces, and maintain cleanliness throughout service periods.
  • Assist with restocking drinks, snacks, disposables and other FOH items.
  • Support the café team during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all food hygiene procedures, including allergen awareness, safe handling and correct storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in line with Manor Farm policies and food safety regulations.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Duty Manager or F&B Manager promptly.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen, café and FOH colleagues to deliver efficient service.
  • Communicate clearly with management regarding stock levels, customer feedback or operational issues.
  • Support new staff through positive teamwork and role modelling.

Guest Experience

  • Engage with visitors in a friendly and helpful manner, answering questions and offering assistance.
  • Handle customer queries or minor complaints professionally, escalating where necessary.
  • Contribute to a safe, enjoyable environment for families, children and guests of all ages.

Essential Requirements

  • Availability to work 4 days over 7 per week, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly, confident manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to follow food safety and hygiene procedures.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality, café, restaurant or visitor attraction settings.
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge (training can be provided).
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods.
  • A team‑focused approach with good communication skills.
