Job Overview

Stevenston Group Practice is looking to recruit a Receptionist/Typist/Admin person to join our small, friendly Practice. Part-time hours to be negotiated. Approximately 19 hours per week with some flexibility to cover holidays, sickness absence.

Key duties will include, but are not limited to:

Reception cover.

Making and cancelling appointments.

Dealing with telephone enquiries.

Processing repeat prescription requests.

“sign-posting” to appropriate services.

Handling electronic filing and other admin tasks. This role requires strong computer skills.

The successful candidate will have an excellent telephone manner as well as having good communication and organisational skills.

You must be able to offer a professional, efficient, courteous and confidential service to patients at all times.

Previous experience of working in a Practice would be an advantage as well as having a working knowledge of EMIS and Docman clinical systems. SCI Gateway for onward referrals to hospital.

We are looking for someone who can be flexible, able to work in a fast paced environment, use their own initiative and work as part of a busy team.
