Administrator

Location: South Somercotes, Nr Louth
Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time (minimum 25 hours per week) considered for the right candidate. Hours worked across Monday to Friday.
Salary: Starting from £12.71–£14.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Probation Period: 3 Months

Join Our Team

Wells Plant Hire is a well-established, family-run construction company, and we are looking for a proactive, motivated and organised Administrator to join our friendly office team. This is a varied role, with some crossover into our agricultural business, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a diverse workload and can effectively prioritise tasks. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a methodical approach to their work, while providing administrative support to our Civils, Commercial and Groundwork teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Civils, Commercial and wider Groundworks teams.

· Manage company email accounts and provide general office administration, including liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

· Prepare and maintain project documentation, including job folders, DigDat enquiries, RAMS, drawing packs and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

· Coordinate project logistics, including hotel bookings, welfare unit cleans, plant inspections and survey station calibrations.

· Liaise with local councils regarding traffic management, permits and ongoing project requirements.

· Support the company's Health & Safety management by organising and minuting meetings, coordinating Health & Safety and Fire Risk audits, maintaining records for fire extinguisher servicing and fire drills, and assisting with the completion of follow-up actions.

· Maintain subcontractor insurance records and ensure documentation remains up to date.

· Carry out general administrative duties and provide support across all areas of the business as required.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within construction, engineering or a similar industry.
  • GCSE Grade 4 (or above) or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills with customers, suppliers and local authorities.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider business.
