Accompanied Viewer – Part-Time / Flexible

Average hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Contract: Flexible Zero Hours Contract with holiday entitlement
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Mileage: 55p per business mile

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and highly professional Accompanied Viewer to join our team at Peter Heron Estate Agents.

This is a flexible role working across both of our Sunderland branches and covering properties throughout the Sunderland area.

The successful candidate will be smart in appearance, punctual, reliable and confident dealing with members of the public. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, enthusiastic manner are essential. Previous experience in customer service or a public-facing role would be advantageous.

Flexibility & Working Hours

Flexibility is an essential requirement of this position.

Property viewing appointments vary depending on customer demand, so applicants must be able to work flexibly during the week and be available to conduct appointments on Saturdays.

This is a zero hours contract, with working hours expected to average approximately 20 hours per week, although this will vary according to appointment levels, seasonal fluctuations and business requirements.

You will also be expected to provide holiday cover for another Accompanied Viewer when required, so additional availability during these periods is important.

The position includes holiday entitlement/benefits in accordance with your contract and statutory entitlement.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accompanied Viewer, you will:

  • Meet and greet customers in a friendly, polite and professional manner.
  • Conduct accompanied viewings at sales and lettings properties across Sunderland.
  • Showcase properties professionally to prospective buyers and tenants.
  • Answer general questions and queries from customers.
  • Liaise closely with our branch teams and provide feedback following appointments.
  • Represent Peter Heron Estate Agents to a consistently high professional standard.
  • Provide holiday cover for another Accompanied Viewer when required.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
  • Have their own mobile phone for work-related communication.
  • Be smart and professional in appearance.
  • Be friendly, outgoing and confident when dealing with customers.
  • Be punctual, reliable and highly professional.
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Be able to work flexibly during the week according to appointment demand.
  • Be available for appointments on Saturdays.
  • Be willing to provide additional holiday cover when required.

Pay & Mileage

The hourly rate is £12.71 per hour, in line with the current National Living Wage for workers aged 21 and over.

In addition to your hourly pay, business mileage will be reimbursed at 55p per mile when using your own vehicle for authorised business journeys.

This role would suit someone who enjoys meeting people, is comfortable working independently and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
