Full job description
We're seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Partnership Manager to lead the development and growth of high-value partnerships that drive long-term business success to join our team!
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded relationship builder who excels at identifying new opportunities, influencing senior stakeholders, and delivering impactful collaborations. Working cross-functionally, you'll play a key role in shaping partnership strategy, strengthening existing relationships, and securing new alliances that support our ambitious growth plans.
If you're a confident leader with a proven track record of building successful partnerships and delivering measurable results, we'd love to hear from you!
This is a hybrid-based role that requires attendance to our office in Birmingham or London at least one day a week. You will be expected to participate in any team events or company gatherings as required.
The Role:
As a Senior Partnerships Manager at Impact Futures Group, you will own and grow a portfolio of key accounts across the care and health sector — building deep, multi-year commercial relationships with care groups, NHS-connected organisations, large employers, and regional training buyers. Working across First Response First Aid, Caring for Care, and The Health & Safety Group, you will cross-sell the full breadth of the IFG offering, grow account revenue year on year, and convert the qualified pipeline generated by the Partnership Leads who work alongside you.
Alongside growing accounts, you will have explicit accountability for retention and lapsed account recovery within your portfolio — identifying at-risk clients before they churn and re-engaging lapsed accounts as a commercial priority alongside new business development.
This is a consultative, relationship-first role. You are not a vendor — you are a workforce training partner who carries a commercial target.
This is a remote/field-based role with a home base. Travel to client sites is a regular and expected part of the role — building and maintaining relationships in person is key to success at this level. You will be expected to attend monthly IFG sales team meetings in person, held across our Birmingham and London offices on a rotating basis and to attend any other team or company events as required. There will also be a requirement to attend sector conferences and exhibitions where IFG is participating. A willingness to travel and flexibility around location are essential for this role.
The role will involve:
- Own and grow a named portfolio of strategic accounts — acting as the primary commercial relationship for each client across all three IFG brands.
- Develop detailed account plans identifying growth opportunities, cross-sell pathways, retention risks, renewal timelines, and lapsed account re-engagement priorities.
- Lead discovery and needs-assessment conversations with registered managers, L&D leads, HR directors, and clinical leads to understand their workforce compliance and training challenges in depth.
- Build and present multi-brand training proposals — covering open courses, closed/in-house delivery, e-learning, and blended learning — that position IFG as a single-supplier compliance and training partner.
- Manage the full commercial cycle on all strategic accounts — discovery through proposal, negotiation, and contract.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key clients, demonstrating training value, securing renewals, and identifying new requirements before competitors do.
- Own retention on your portfolio: proactively identify accounts showing reduced purchase frequency, engagement decline, or churn signals, and act on them before they lapse.
- Lead mid-market lapsed account re-engagement: work with Partnership Managers to identify and prioritise lapsed accounts in your portfolio, and lead the commercial conversation to win them back.
- Receive qualified, briefed opportunities from Partnership Managers and convert them efficiently — maintaining momentum from the first handoff and providing clear feedback to sharpen qualification.
- Work with Partnerships Managers to identify transactional accounts ready for strategic upgrade — and execute warm, professional handovers.
- Maintain a clean, accurately staged pipeline in the CRM — minimum 3× quarterly revenue target in active pipeline at all times.
- Represent IFG at relevant sector events, care networks, and regional forums within your territory.
You’ll be joining a leading national training provider at an exciting time of growth and expansion, working in a fun and supportive environment in an organisation with a strong focus on people and culture.
