Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Regional Technical Support Officer to join our Nurture Pest Control Team. The RTSO is senior field based role, reporting to the Technical Support Line Manager. In this role, you will support the operational team to ensure high quality service delivery, as well as maintaining quality standards throughout the region. You will be the first point of contact for carrying out service visits for a number of high profile customers, and working in a floating role to target problem sites, assist with training new technicians, and undertaking one off proofing and treatment projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- To complete Routine Inspections at selected contract sites. Service round will be reviewed on a regular basis.
- Carry out an average of 3 quality audits per technician in your region per quarter.
- Complete reports and quality audits on Service Tracker.
- Visiting sites with on-going pest problems to review progress and implement enhanced treatments.
- Assisting with set ups of new Premier sites, or large standard contracts.
- Carry out inductions for new recruits.
- Over see and support the training of new recruits.
- Meet with trainee technicians to sit their induction tests.
- Work with qualified technicians, visiting problem sites and providing training where required.
- Carry out pest proofing projects at a variety of sites.
- Identify opportunities for pest proofing works.
- Carry out minor proofing works at problem sites.
- Assist Technical Team with Field Biologist Inspections when required.
- Carry out sticky board treatments.
- Assist with spray treatments for Bedbugs, Biting Insects etc.
- Provide Technical Support to Team Leaders.
- Work with technicians to help them achieve company targets for sales, productivity and quality.
- Provide support in other areas with service work when rounds are falling behind.
- Training other technicians to carry out pest proofing.
- Attend site meetings to review pest problems with clients / area managers / EHO's.
- Assisting technical team trial new products.
- Train other technicians to service Premier Sites.
Working hours:
- Start time on site at 8.30am. When working locally, finish time on site at 5:00pm.
- You will be expected to work a reasonable number of additional hours, to allow for out of hour inspections, sticky board treatments etc.
- The position will involve long distance travel to other areas, and you will be expected to stay overnight when appropriate.
- Overtime will be payable in the following situations: work on site or travel before 7am of after 6.30pm Monday to Friday; field-based work or travel at weekends.
What we're looking for:
Essential
- Level 2 Award in Pest Management
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the pest control industry
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- CAT (Certified Advanced Technician)
- Technical Inspector Certification- expected to achieve within 12 months of working for Nurture Pest Control.
- Familiar with the Microsoft package.
