Full job description

Suddenstrike Limited is a family run business, founded in 1997, based in Nantwich, Cheshire.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced pest control technician to join our pest management team, to carry out pest management works throughout Cheshire and surrounding areas.

This position is long-term career opportunity, for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person and will involve resolving day to day pest management issues for residential and commercial clients. The ability to problem solve and make remedial recommendations where required in order to resolve customers issues is essential for the role.

Key Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in the pest control industry.
  • Excellent customer and communication skills.
  • Minimum qualification requirement of BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management.
  • Experience in all aspects of pest management works including rodents, wasps, ants, flies, bedbugs, fleas, textile pests, stored product insects and bird proofing.
  • Possess a good understanding of onsite health and safety, CSCS certification would be beneficial.
  • Membership of a CPD scheme for the previous 3 years (BPCA Registered or BASIS Prompt).
  • Confident in using IT, including a tablet based diary and job reporting system.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to work flexible hours when required.
  • The successful candidate will be required to manage an existing client base whilst actively seeking out new customers.

Benefits

The position includes a competitive salary based on experience, ability and licenses/certification held. Along with 28 days paid annual leave, a company mobile telephone for work use, clothing, personal protective equipment, tools and equipment.

Please note that this position advertised is for a full-time employee, sub-contractors and part-time applicants will not be considered.

A full UK driving licence is essential and the successful candidate will undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.

Appointments will be subject to references, valid licences/certification held and satisfactory completion of a 6 month probationary period.
