Full job description

Part Time Pest Control Technician – Kent & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £14.00 to £15.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time
Location: Kent and surrounding areas
Hours: 16 to 24 hours per week
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Pest Control Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This could be ideal for someone wishing to reduce their working hours while remaining active in the industry, or an experienced technician considering coming out of retirement for a few days each week. We can offer flexibility around working days for the right person.

About Wynsdale Group

Wynsdale Group Ltd is an established, multi-service organisation delivering a comprehensive range of in-house environmental, property and facilities support services to commercial and domestic clients across the UK.

Our services include rapid-response waste removal, specialist cleaning, infection control, pest management, estate management, property care and grounds maintenance. We support clients across a diverse range of sectors, including retail, hospitality and leisure, manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, facilities management and local authorities.

We pride ourselves on providing a professional, responsive and compliant service, supported by experienced teams and a strong commitment to health & safety, environmental responsibility and customer service.

Wynsdale Group is licensed to carry and manage commercial waste streams and operates within a robust framework of recognised standards and accreditations, including ISO accreditation, TrustMark approval, SafeContractor accreditation and Trading Standards Checked status (K0484). We are also a registered Home Improvement Agency (HIA).

As the Group continues to grow, we are looking for talented and motivated people who want to join an ambitious and expanding organisation.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Pest Control Division, working across Kent and surrounding areas.

This is a rare opportunity to join a distinctive environmental services provider offering considerably more variety than a traditional pest control technician role.

The successful applicant will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and managing an established portfolio of clients, alongside undertaking pest prevention, treatment and proofing works.

The role will involve identifying pest activity, implementing appropriate treatment programmes, providing practical recommendations to clients and ensuring all works are carried out safely, professionally and in accordance with company procedures and current health and safety requirements.

This is a hybrid and varied position where no two days are the same, offering exposure to a broad range of sites, customers and environmental service requirements.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing scheduled and reactive pest control visits across an existing portfolio, carrying out inspections, treatments and monitoring programmes, completing pest-proofing works and maintaining accurate service records.

You will also be expected to communicate professionally with customers, identify recurring or underlying pest issues, provide appropriate recommendations and recognise opportunities where additional services may benefit the client.

All work must be delivered to a consistently high standard with particular emphasis on customer service, compliance, health and safety and professional presentation.

What We Are Looking For

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have previous experience working as a pest control technician.

The successful candidate should have:

  • RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management, BPCA Part 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Ideally 2 years' pest control experience
  • Strong practical knowledge of pest control treatments, monitoring and proofing
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to recognise additional business opportunities
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • A professional and well-presented approach
  • Good punctuality and reliability
  • The ability to use initiative and make practical decisions in the field
  • Flexibility regarding working hours when required

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, reliable, professional and commercially aware, and who takes genuine pride in delivering a high-quality service.

Package

The role offers:

  • Basic salary of £14.00-£15.00 per hour
  • 16-24 hour working week
  • Company van (for use during working hours. You will be required to make your own arrangements to commute to and from the depot)
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Minimum 11.5 - 17 days' holiday
  • Pension scheme
  • Bonus opportunities
  • Commission opportunities
  • Additional leave
  • Company events
  • Wellness programme
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression

Working Pattern

The standard working pattern is flexible although some overtime and occasional weekend availability may be required depending on operational and your personal requirements.

Why Join Wynsdale?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business.

Because Wynsdale operates across a broad range of environmental and property services, the position offers considerably more variety than a conventional pest control role.

We are an ambitious and growing organisation and are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of that continued growth.
