Do you take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, solving problems, and helping customers maintain safe, pest-free environments?

We're looking for a motivated and professional Pest Control Technician to join our growing team in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of residential, commercial, and industrial sites, providing expert pest management solutions while developing your career within a respected and expanding business.

If you're passionate about delivering high-quality service, enjoy working independently, and thrive on finding practical solutions to customer challenges, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
As a Pest Control Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting customer premises, identifying pest-related issues, and delivering effective treatment and prevention solutions.

Working across a varied customer base, you'll carry out both planned maintenance visits and reactive callouts, helping customers protect their properties from pests while ensuring full compliance with industry standards and legislation.

No two days are the same. One day you may be conducting routine inspections at a commercial site, and the next you could be resolving a complex infestation issue or advising customers on long-term pest prevention strategies.

What You'll Be Doing
Pest Inspections & Treatment

  • Carry out detailed inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
  • Identify pest activity, infestation levels, and contributing environmental factors.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to customer requirements.
  • Safely apply insecticides, rodenticides, and other pest control solutions in accordance with legislation and best practice.
  • Utilise a variety of treatment methods, including chemical and non-chemical solutions, traps, proofing measures, and modern pest control technologies.

Customer Service & Advice

  • Build positive relationships with customers through professional and friendly service.
  • Explain findings, treatment plans, and recommendations clearly and confidently.
  • Provide advice on pest prevention, proofing measures, and best practice.
  • Educate customers on the risks associated with pest activity and recommend corrective actions.

Compliance & Record Keeping

  • Complete accurate service reports using handheld digital devices.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, treatments, chemicals used, and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Safely store, transport, and use pest control products and equipment.

Equipment & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain company equipment and vehicles to a high standard.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, legislation, and emerging pest control techniques.

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within the pest control industry.
  • Industry-recognised qualification such as the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent).
  • Active member of either the BPCA Registered Scheme or BASIS PROMPT CPD Scheme since 1 January 2025.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience working in a customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check.

Personal Attributes

  • Customer-focused and professional.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Organised and able to manage your workload effectively.
  • Committed to safety, compliance, and delivering high standards.
  • Adaptable and eager to continue developing your skills and knowledge.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary of £27,000 – £28,250 depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Company vehicle and equipment provided.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Varied role with no two days the same.
  • Opportunity to work independently while being supported by an experienced team.
  • Join a growing business where your contribution is recognised and valued.
  • Long-term career development opportunities within a respected pest management organisation.

About You
You'll be someone who enjoys helping customers, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of pest management.
