Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Food Hygiene Manager to join our passionate and driven Cleaning team based at our client’s site in Burton Latimer, Kettering
You will help oversee budgets, manage maintenance, ensure hygiene standards across the shift. The role will involve completion of audits such as CIC, equipment, cleaning verification, PPE, health & safety & supervision. Hygiene Investigations and following corrective actions and clear communication with shift / site hygiene managers and customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct COSHH assessments, risk assessments, document safe systems of work for all hygiene tasks, and issues followed up.
  • Responsibility for monitoring and ensuring that all aspects of the hygiene teams’ activities, maintaining continuous hygiene standards.
  • Identify and report on shifts compliance with regards to correct PPE and equipment requirements by escalating to Site manager
  • Delivering continuous improvements of processes and procedures within the Hygiene department to ensure on-going efficiencies and cost savings can be identified and met.
  • Investigation all non-conformance's and ensure that corrective actions are taken.
  • Appraise and set objectives across the shift teams
  • Identify any Health and Safety issues within the area / team, maintaining a focus on risk reduction.
  • Record and investigate accidents / incidents and report to the site Manager.
  • Conduct hygiene audits in relation to Health & Safety, GMP and Finished Standards.
  • Ensure total quality management with continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Hygiene team’s performance to ensuring service levels are in line with contractual requirements.
  • Delegated responsibility for:
  • Area hygiene, ensuring all internal audits are completed including any actions relating to: Quality, Chemical usage, Titatration checks, Overtime Tracker / Headcount, KPI (Data collection), Stores Usage, Swabbing denitrification / residual chemical, Water Usage

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • QA background required
  • Over 3 years Hygiene or Technical Experience
  • Clear understanding of HACCP, COSHH, QA & Management Procedures
  • Clear understanding of Food Safety procedures
  • Operational Experience within a Food Manufacturing setting
  • Senior management experience
  • Control and management of budgets
  • Proven record of continuous improvement and change management
  • Excellent Communication, Presentation, organisational & time management skills
  • Proficient Computer skills (all aspects of Microsoft Office)
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills - Proven record of developing and coaching high-performance teams
