Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, identifying, and treating pest infestations in residential and commercial properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the pest management industry, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients through effective pest control solutions. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to providing high-quality service with attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of premises to identify pest issues and potential entry points
  • Develop customised treatment plans based on inspection findings
  • Apply appropriate pest control treatments using safe and approved methods
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and client interactions
  • Advise clients on preventative measures to minimise future infestations
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and used in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during treatment procedures
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments, pest behaviour, and new treatment techniques

Skills

  • Proven experience or training in pest control and fully qualified.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple appointments efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining treatment procedures and safety advice to clients
  • Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a high standard of service
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to pest control activities
  • Valid driving licence preferred for travelling between sites
  • Physical fitness to carry out inspections and treatments in various environments
  • Good problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
